Toronto High School Rebranding by Yana Stepchenko

The world is rapidly changing and schools need to be more relevant to today. Old ways of thinking should be disregarded in order to create environments where student talents can flourish. This research and design project investigates how design can improve student quality of life in high school.

Description
The design covers the built environment, as well as effective communications and the school’s sense of identity. Currently Toronto high schools are dull, uninspiring and prison-like. Well-designed environments and communications in high schools would be a major investment in productivity, efficiency and the well-being of the students and staff.
