DIAC issues a Call for “Design Success Stories” from all design disciplines across Ontario for the purpose of demonstrating the value of the industry

We know that design can make a difference, but can we prove it? RGD is a member of the Design Industry Advisory Committee (DIAC),  a cross-disciplinary research and lobby group that works to promote the strategic value of design and the contribution of designers to economic, social and environmental goals. As part of this ongoing commitment to demonstrate the economic, social and business impact of design, DIAC is collecting stories of design success from all design disciplines across Ontario.

DIAC has developed a single page questionnaire to help entrants frame their success stories in terms that business and government will appreciate. It is DIAC’s hope that the questions will help designers present the stories of their most successful projects and that entrants will further use the content generated to attract new business and enter design competitions.

DIAC will be using select stories from the submissions:

  • To assist with research funding applications to further evidence the value of design;
  • In discussions with government officials;
  • In initiatives developed to promote the capabilities of Ontario’s design workforce.

Access the online submission form here.

The deadline to submit is April 19.
