Providing insight into the financial trends facing Canada's creative sector, CreativeEarners offers a summary of how graphic designers and other creative communicators are being compensated and valued. Beginning May 1, 2014, RGD and Creative Niche invite creative professionals across Canada to fill out the online survey and contribute to this important national industry resource.
With responses from over 3,000 professionals across Canada, the 2012/2013 National Salary Survey results provided a comprehensive overview of the compensation levels for the national creative sector. It covered careers in the fields of graphic design, art direction, web production, UX/UI, marketing, design education, strategy and account management.
This year's survey will operate on a new platform from design partner The Pixel Shop, offering more interactive elements, an increased focus on creative visuals and a more user-friendly experience for survey participants.
Those who complete the survey will also be entered into draws to win great prizes including $1,500 in Umbra gift cards and free registrations to DesignThinkers 2014, Canada's national design conference.
Beginning May 1, the survey will be open for six weeks, closing Monday, June 16. Results of the survey will be made available free downloadable PDF in both French and English.
“I believe the RGD Salary Survey’s findings reinforce the value of the professionals who help agencies, studios and other organizations tackle new creative challenges and developments now and in the years ahead,” says Creative Niche CEO Mandy Gilbert. “We are excited to continue our partnership with RGD on this important initiative.”
A PDF of findings from the 2012/2013 Salary Survey can be downloaded online at www.creativeearners.ca in both English and French. An iPad version of the results is also available through the App Store.
