Have you got what it takes to be an RGD committee member?
07/04/14
RGD members are invited to contribute to the Association's public relations / outreach initiatives by joining the PR Committee, and explore other ways to get involved with RGD. Attend monthly meetings virtually from anywhere in Canada or at our Toronto office.

"Being a part of the RGD committees has allowed me to grow as a design professional and build a network way beyond what I could have hoped to achieve on my own," says Wendy Millard RGD, Manager of Design Services at Empire Life in Kingston. "In our industry, it's important to reach out and stay involved and active in the design community. Being part of an RGD committee is a hidden gem that often gets overlooked by members - if you want make change in the design world, joining a committee is a great way to get involved." Wendy is a member of RGD's PR Committee and Chair of the Regional Committee for Eastern Ontario.

The PR Committee meets once a month to discuss, develop and review strategies to raise awareness of the Association and the RGD designation with business audiences and the media. The committee also reviews ongoing RGD public relations, advertising and outreach campaigns to establish the most effective strategies for communicating with the Association's target audiences.

Recent PR Committee initiatives have included the DesignThinker of the Year Award, 'Bring a Client to a DT session' and the RGD Expert Bureau
