TORONTO, May 15, 2014 – English and French versions of the online questionnaire for 2014/2015 National Survey of CreativeEarners, produced by the Association of Registered Graphic Designers (RGD) and Creative Niche, went live this week at creativeearners.ca. Providing insights into Canada's communications sector, CreativeEarners tabulates how creative professionals are compensated and valued.
Individuals from across the country, working in a wide variety of professions, are encouraged to contribute to this important national industry resource. Job titles of those eligible to take the survey include, but are not limited to: Creative Director, Art Director, Graphic Designer, Developer, Digital Strategist, Web Designer, Marketing Manager, Copywriter, Social Media Manager, Brand Strategist and Account Coordinator.
"This study is only as good as the diversity of those who contribute to it," stresses RGD's VP of Communications Bob Hambly. "It provides us all with valuable information about our profession and the greater the participation, the more accurate the findings.”
English and French versions of the survey results will be made freely available to all in November. The findings provide an economic snapshot of the industry, allowing users to benchmark salaries and billing rates across job types, sector and region.
Since the survey results benefit all, RGD is receiving support from a variety of industry organizations including: Advertising & Design Club of Canada; Alberta Magazine Publishers Association; Canadian Association of Professional Image Creators; Editors’ Association of Canada; Interior Designers of Canada; Société des designers graphiques du Québec; and more.
The survey closes on June 16 and takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. All information will be kept completely confidential and used only in aggregate with data collected from others participating in the survey. Participants are entered into draws for $3,000 in prizes.
