RGD Communications Committee selects Cai Sepulis to design new branding for student programs
This year RGD will introduce new branding for ongoing Student-related initiatives including Creative Directions (formerly HeadStart) and the RGD Student Awards. To create a new look for these initiatives, the RGD Communications Committee has selected designer Cai Sepulis RGD, Owner of Ballyhoo Media Inc. in Guelph.

Beyond the intangible value of giving back to her community and contributing to the awareness of RGD's important student programming, Cai will receive a range of tangible benefits for contributing her services, including recognition for her creative contribution to the Association and free registrations to the DesignThinkers Conference.

"It was an enticing and exciting opportunity to get involved with RGD on this project for a few reasons. Firstly, I believe in the value of RGD and the standards that it upholds so it was an honour to have the chance to work on this project. Secondly, as a solo creative who works primary through agencies and large design studios, I felt it was a great way to flex some muscle and showcase some of my skills by doing a project so suited to my niche of illustrating vivid and clever campaign graphics," says Cai.

Cai's designs will replace the branding created by Mikey Richardson RGD and Michael Kelar RGD of Amoebacorp (now Partners at Jacknife Design), which has represented HeadStart and the RGD Student Awards for the last three years. Amoebacorp's branding was produced with the support of Paper Sponsor Sappi and Print Sponsor Flash Reproductions.

The new branding will appear in all promotional materials for Creative Directions and the Student Awards including print (postcards, posters, signage) and online (RGD website, newsletter and social media channels). Cai was selected as the designer for this project after expressing interest in contributing design services to RGD.

"When it comes to promotion, RGD relies on contributions from its wealth of talented members. The Communications Committee encourages RGDs interested in helping out to let us know. Join the impressive list of those individuals and firms that have, over the years, helped shape and enliven RGD's numerous events and programs." - Bob Hambly RGD, VP Communications

About Ballyhoo Media Inc.

Cai splits her time between Guelph and Toronto where she works as a freelance Art Director and Illustrator/Designer. She values the way this flexibility makes her work exciting: meeting new agencies, seeing how different teams work together, and ultimately working on National and International-level projects for clients that may not always be attainable working full time at a local studio.
