“I’m most appreciative to all the designers who help Harry Rosen express its brand with warmth and personality, and give it life and vitality. Those are the real winners.” Larry Rosen, CEO of Harry Rosen Inc., DesignThinker of the Year, 2014
Nominated by Bob Hambly RGD, Creative Director, Hambly & Woolley
Larry understands the value of design and has made strong partnerships with graphic designers, advertising companies, web developers, architects, interior designers, photographers, illustrators, stylists and manufacturers to ensure the Harry Rosen Inc. brand is one of integrity and quality. With award winning advertising, a world renowned magazine, a network of sixteen handsome retail outlets and an active e-commerce website all promoting merchandise from the world's top menswear designers, Larry Rosen has demonstrated his company's respect for designers of all types.
Because the fashion business is constantly evolving, Harry Rosen Inc. must remain current and relevant to their customers. New stores, improved furnishings, refreshed packaging and an enhanced e-commerce experience keep the company at the top of its game. Larry knows that designers from all disciplines help him accomplish this. The company has also established a strong in-house marketing team that oversees the many projects that are under development at any given time. Recently, they formed an in-house creative team (art director, photographer, retoucher & stylist) to provide content for their growing e-commerce website.
Just this year Larry was presented with the Retail Council of Canada's Distinguished Retailer of the Year award. This prestigious award recognizes a leader who has guided a retail company to outstanding business success and innovation, while consistently demonstrating commitment to community support. Whether it's the way a feature story in Harry Magazine is presented, or the design of a new store in Ottawa, or the cut of an exclusive product designed for Harry Rosen Inc. by Canada Goose, Larry is forever encouraging designers to create the best for the brand.
