The Handbook, which is used as a text in many graphic design programs across Canada, is an important resource for creative industry professionals. Chapters cover best practices for establishing and growing a graphic design business, including intellectual property, staffing a design consultancy and marketing design services, in addition to sample forms and agreements that can be used in professional practice.
The book also includes practical advice from members of the Association from their experience as professionals in the Canadian creative industry as well as details on becoming a Registered Graphic Designer and RGD's Rules of Professional Conduct.
