Description

In 2014, Wilfrid Laurier University commissioned Intent to write, design and produce a handbook to explain why large public sector organizations such as universities and hospitals should produce fully accessible websites. The 72-page manual provides a roadmap to the future of web design in Canada. Font sizes and high text-to-background contrast maximize legibility, while colours and paper stock were chosen to optimize readability for those with colour and light blindness. The handbook will also be available as a fully accessible PDF. Four captioned videos were also produced to expand on some of the handbook’s key points.
