It’s My Life! highlights positive life changes that can mitigate the risk of developing cancer. The site’s interactive design and conversational language make the information easy to access and share, offering tailored suggestions based on each user’s specific risk factors. Through user pledges and social media sharing, It’s My Life! also offers opportunities to spread the message that cancer can be prevented. The site is a tool for educators and health organizations to raise awareness about cancer prevention. From September to February 2015, It’s My Life! received 20,618 unique visitors who collectively made 5,422 pledges to change their behaviour. www.itsmylife.cancer.ca

Judge’s Pick: There were many excellent entries, but this site offers a refreshing and simple interactive platform for a topic that most people have been touched by in some way, shape or form. Its friendly colour palette, UX/UI and clever writing encourage interaction and sharing. – Justin Ahrens
