Description

This project examines the issue of access to graphic communication for the visually impaired. It makes visual information readable by touch using modern printing techniques and a universal design method. The book includes ten tactile maps using an approach that is based on gradual zooming-in on the general plan of Italy. This design solution can be applied to any object, city, architecture or museum exhibit and can be used by people who are blind, low-sighted or sighted.
