Paul Haslip RGD and the team at HM&E designed a new website, brand visual identity and collateral materials for Book Clubs for Inmates.
Established in 2009, Book Clubs for Inmates has over 22 book clubs in federal penitentiaries across Canada. They believe in transforming lives through literacy. So does HM&E. And happily donated their creative services to this charitable organization. The logo (a square of clouds with the top left corner folded back) was inspired by what convicts refer to as the “patch of blue” they see through their cell windows.

Wendy Millard RGD and the team at Empire Life created a print and digital media campaign for Emblem Financial Services.
Empire Life Investments wanted a campaign that would stand out from other financial services companies and create some noise in the marketplace for this product. Ideas were explored by both the in-house design team as well as EXT Marketing and this design was chosen to roll out to both digital and print media.
Phil Mondor RGD and the team at Studio Locale created a new website for Home Group Realty.
At Home Group Realty is a fiercely local, boutique real estate brokerage in Guelph that is challenging the traditional real estate model. They came to Studio Locale wanting a new website that reflected the focus on their clients needs over their own while still providing access to traditional real estate services. Listening to their vision, Studio Locale designed and developed their new corporate site in addition to updating their visual brand identity and signage.

The promotional package features a set of custom designed typefaces that spell out the word, thankful. Each typeface displayed a distinct graphical technique—from utilizing grids, patterns to repeated shapes, overprints and halftones, all printed in one colour on double thick card stock. It was accompanied by an online animated version. Learn more about the project.
Aleece Laird Affiliate Member of RGD and the team at Fresh Brand Inc. renamed and rebranded New Life Community Kamloops.
Fresh Inc. had been working with the client for years facilitating their fundraising campaigns. Into the relationship, we recommended research into their name, New Life Mission, to understand people’s perception of the organization. Through the research, we found that “mission” is associated with homeless men and soup kitchens, yet the organization is open to all people and offers many services including a hair salon, clothing distribution and dental services. The rename, and rebrand, rolled out in December 2015 with the launch of their Christmas campaign, refreshed website and materials that included shirts for staff, aprons for volunteers and new signage. They set a donation record for the campaign and are finding their engagement with the community reflects their new positioning statement: Open. Available. Life Changing.
