Monocle Podcast explores benchmarks and benefits of branding
On May 31, RGD's Executive Director, Hilary Ashworth, and Past President, Lionel Gadoury RGD, were interviewed by Chris Frey for Monocle's dedicated design podcast Section D.


Monocle radio station delivers global news alongside shows covering foreign affairs, urbanism, business, culture, design, food and drink and print media. This specific podcast was featured as part of 'Section D,' everything you need to know about the world of design.


Frey was looking to decode the successes and failures of the Canadian brand and its visual identity.


As part of RGD's efforts to educate on industry best practices, Hilary spoke about the past government's focus on low-price complicancy and how investing in design offers much more value in the long run and RGD's hope that the new government's interest in innovation and new ideas will translate into an understanding of the value that design can bring both to how Canada is viewed globally as well as how we, as a nation, identify ourselves as a community.
