RGD Launches Design at Work Poster Initiative in Markham, Ontario

This Markham poster features designs by Helena Ng RGD of Helena Ng Design, Umar Shahzad RGD of Umar Shahzad Branding & Design, Michael Raines RGD of Michael Raines Creative Design and Sarah Prouse RGD of Fusion Design Group Inc.

The goal of the Design At Work posters is to raise awareness about graphic design's value to businesses by presenting examples of how design can impact and improve a company’s visibility and recognition.

The Markham Design At Work poster is one of a series being distributed to local business and posted in local public spaces in cities throughout Ontario. The series also includes posters for Kingston, Kitchener, London, Ottawa and Sudbury. Each poster features local designers and their work.

“It’s easy for us to forget that everything we touch, see or interact with throughout our hectic days has been designed by someone,” says Stüssy Tschudin RGD, President of RGD. “The Design At Work poster series is our small way of drawing attention to that fact and to the talented designers behind the work - to give them a shout-out and underscore the value good design brings business.”

Helena Ng RGD developed the logo and visual identity for her client Club de Golf Islesmere, while Umar Shahzad RGD designed a website for the Qasid Arabic Institute. Michael Raines RGD designed a visual identity system for Blyth Equestrian, and Sarah Prouse RGD designed the 2014 Annual Report for Purolator Inc

The poster also features a link - rgd.ca/Markham - to the RGD Designer Directory where anyone looking for a design professional can find out more about the RGD Members working in their community.
