RGD Launches Design at Work Poster Initiative in Kingston, Ontario
04/10/16

This Kingston poster features designs by Nicole Duncan RGD, Leslie Martin Provisional RGD of Leslie Martin Design and Brian Dodo RGD of BmDodo Design.

The goal of the Design At Work posters is to raise awareness about graphic design's value to businesses by presenting examples of how design can impact and improve a company or organization’s visibility and recognition.

The Kingston Design At Work poster is one of a series which will be distributed to local businesses and posted in local public spaces in cities throughout Ontario. The series also includes posters for Guelph, Kitchener, London, Markham, Ottawa, Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury. Each poster features the work of designers based in the respective community.

“It’s easy for us to forget that everything we touch, see or interact with throughout our hectic days has been designed by someone,” says Stüssy Tschudin RGD, President of RGD. “The Design At Work poster series is our way of drawing attention to that fact and to the talented designers behind the work.”

Nicole Duncan RGD designed Syngenta Farmer’s Loyalty Program Brochure, while Leslie Martin Prov. RGD worked on the branding and identity for Tonika Morgan, and Brian Dodo designed the visual identity system and signage for Utilities Kingston.

“We're excited to launch this campaign that promotes the amazing talent of local graphic designers who are doing incredible work for both local and global businesses,” says Wendy Millard RGD, Manager of Design Dervices at Empire Life in Kingston, and the Chair of RGD's PR Committee, which oversees this initiative. “The Kingston community needs to be aware of the local talent that can help them develop their brand image and improve their visual communications.”

The poster also features a link - rgd.ca/kingston - to the RGD Designer Directory where anyone looking for a design professional can find out more about the RGD Members working in the community.
