Job Description: Contract work (ongoing).
We are a very small tea company with a focus on the highest craftsmanship and finest details. We create multi-faceted offerings and packaging of specialty teas we source directly from origin and blend here in our own facilities in Toronto & Vancouver for the food service, hospitality and specialty gift markets. Our company is extremely collaborative and requires a unique individual who shares our design values and passion for excellence. Our ideal candidate will bring with them their own inspirations and artistry when joining our team
Skills & Requirements:
- Fearless grasp of typography
- Proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and the Macintosh OS
- Strong illustration or photography skills a plus
- Good listening and communication skills
- Efficient multi-tasker
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- RGD designation considered an asset
Pay: Commensurate with Experience
Timeline: Immediate (10-15 hours/week)
Project: Working with Creative Director at Sloane Fine Tea Merchants to prepare the new packaging designs for 2017 & 2017 as well as help with ongoing day-day tidly-widly graphic design needs in regards to newsletters, social-media posts, posters and other marketing collateral produced. This is an immediate need and position.
Opportunity for Future Work: Definite. Sloane Fine Tea Merchants has about 7 projects that are sitting to get going one by one over the next 12-18 months and there is opportunity for increased workload and commitment depending on the time availability of the Graphic Designer of choice.
Other:Work created for our company is covered by a restrictive covenant - i.e. all rights belong to Sloane Fine Tea Merchants
