Bob Hambly RGD, Hambly & Woolley, worked with Cubane, an Australian-based consulting firm with offices in Canada and the UK, to create a new logo.
As a firm, Cubane's focus is to drive improvement in university administration worldwide through their unique UniForum program. A cubane is a cube-shaped molecular structure. The icon is made from two speech bubbles connected to create a cube. The new logo highlights Cubane’s collaborative and forum-based approach to working with their academic clients.
Matthew Clark RGD, Subplot Design Inc., created an international and domestic stamp, along with a range of supporting material (postcards, booklets, souvenir sheets), for Canada Post's long-running tradition of honouring the lunar new Year.
This “Year of the Dog” set is part of the tenth issue in Canada Post’s Lunar New Year series. Inspired by the colourful and brightly-illuminated decorations that mark this holiday, Subplot’s Jacquie Shaw came up with the concept for the stamps. Chinese illustrator Meimei Mao created two delicately-crafted dog illustrations that are reminiscent of traditional Chinese paper cutting. The dogs are inspired by Shih Tzu and a traditional Chinese native dog. Subplot worked with local photographer and long-time collaborator Raeff Miles to create the lantern scenes. All products are additionally graced with Order of Ontario recipient Albert Ng’s calligraphy, who crafted multiple blessings that were then embossed in gold foil. Both gold and red are auspicious colours in the Chinese tradition, symbolizing prosperity and good luck.
Lionel Gadoury RGD and his team at Context Creative developed Ontario's first ever Patient Ombudsman annual report.
Fearless is the theme that Context Creative developed for Ontario’s first ever Patient Ombudsman annual report. Established to investigate complaints and facilitate resolutions about patient care and health care experiences, the 28-page report integrates custom illustrations and infographics and never loses sight of what matters most in healthcare – the patient.
Cai Sepulis RGD and Chris Tiessen of TOQUE Magazine created a lookbook highlighting local business & lifestyle stories.
A clean and sleek lookbook that imagines and broadcasts exciting local business & lifestyle stories from across the region that spans Wellington County, Waterloo & Hamilton, all printed on decadent 100% recycled matte stock.
Jennifer Weaymouth RGD and the team at Weaymouth Creative worked with Lake of Bays Brewing Co. to launch their new, bold, craft beer flavours.
Lake of Bays Brewing Co., an all-natural craft brewery in Ontario, conceived a new core lineup of four craft beer selections and wanted a fresh look to reflect their bolder flavours and increase overall brand recognition. Full-wrap illustrations were inspired by the stunning beauty and rugged landscape of the Lake of Bays region. Consistency was optimized through the creation of a circular Lake of Bays badge, which became the focal point for a louder and prouder brand expression. The new cans were released in Summer 2017 along with the design of a convenient ‘Great Outdoors Taster’ 4-Pack for easy carrying.
