Over time their clients and projects have shifted from the manufacture and implementation of complex signage systems to their current position specializing in environmental graphic design. 

 

Cygnus was founded on the belief that their work can move people – physically and emotionally – by connecting information, brand and aesthetics to the architecture of a building and the attributes of the surrounding environment. Effective wayfinding contributes to the experience of a place and is an essential aspect of the visitor’s journey, ultimately increasing the value of their experience and the services our clients provide.

With this belief in mind, Cygnus develops communication strategies for the built environment, making places more navigable, organizations more approachable and services more accessible.

 

The name Cygnus comes from one of the brightest constellations in the night sky, referencing the important role that stars played in early navigation and exploration.
