On Monday, Day 1 of the Conference, attendees learned from speakers John Couch, VP Product Design at Hulu and Alana Ruoso RGD, Graphics & Creative Manager at Benefit Cosmetics Canada, who spoke about finding your creative flow and elevating your value as an in-house designer.
Wednesday or Day 2 of the Conference kicked off with presentations Deborah Peterson, Director, Head of Agency at Deloitte Canada and Dawson Guilbeault, VP, Head of Design, at Scotiabank, who both spoke about finding growth points at work during the pandemic.
The third and final day of the Conference on Friday was led by Michael Lejeune, Creative Director at Metro Los Angeles and Erin Craig RGD, Creative Director of Trade Publishing at Harlequin, who spoke about working in-house through COVID-19 and making your processes more efficient and resourceful.
Each day ended with a panel on key in-house topics such as promoting your in-house team, managing internal clients and putting the creative back into creative services.
Between Conference days, attendees were able to connect “face to face” and attended virtual roundtable discussions via Zoom and GoToMeeting. In groups of 10 to 15 people, attendees discussed topics ranging from working remotely, to being a creative in a non-creative industry, to leading confidently at work when you don't feel confident.
Given the virtual format, attendees weren't able to network and meet in-person, so attendees were instead able to chat and ask each other questions over a Conference-wide Slack workspace.
Thank you to our speakers, emcees and attendees!
