Mel Sutjiadi, Founder of ArtOverMatter Creative Inc. in Calgary, AB

Mel is a QTBIPOC creative director, visual designer, illustrator, webdeveloper and educator who believes in using their creative power for social good. They also co-founded Ripple of Change Magazine in 2020. They specialize on projects with a focus on equity, inclusion, social justice and social impact. Mel has also been a guest instructor, speaker and portfolio reviewer with expertise on designing for diversity, cultural inclusion and social good. AOM Creative has helped community-based organizations and purpose-driven initiatives with projects including campaign development, branding, custom illustrations, marketing collaterals, motion graphics and custom websites.

As a collective, we are always on the look out for talents in the industry. I will be looking for strong concepts and execution, unique use of typography, grid and white space, accessibility, consistency and attention to detail.
