Anjanette Takashima Brooks, Affiliate Member, Toronto
As a visual story teller and design strategist, I see design as a conduit for change. I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to help shape information in a way that makes it both functional and cinematic. To enable connections, to engage, to inspire and to incite positive action. I see the role of a graphic designer as so much more than a commercial artist. We are also environmental stewards (ensuring our designs are sustainably ideated and produced), social activists (advancing inclusion and accessibility) and ambassadors of the human spirit.
