The RGD invites 2021 Grads to Apply for Free Professional Membership for 2021

The RGD is offering students graduating in 2021 from a design program from across school and college in Canada FREE professional Membership for the remainder of 2021. The offer is valid until August 30.
"The past year has been especially challenging for the graduating students with restrictions on in-school learning, in-person networking and a volatile job market. This initiative provides recent grads an unparalleled opportunity to start their careers supported by an organization dedicated to their success. Being a part of the RGD means access to career building resources, up-to-date news, a network of over 4,000 designers across Canada and an industry recognized designation. To begin their professional Membership, 2021 Grads can choose from two options:
Provisional RGD
Eligibility: Graduation from a recognized post-secondary program and 8 or less years of professional experience
- Complete the online Membership Application
- Complete the Virtual Portfolio Review Application
- RGD staff will review both and match you with your portfolio reviewer
- It will then be your responsibility to arrange for your virtual review (read about Provisional RGDs’ experiences with their reviews)
- After your review, we will confirm the start of your Provisional Membership
If you do not feel ready for the portfolio review required for Provisional Membership, you can apply to be a:
Junior Affiliate
Eligibility: 4 or less years of professional experience
- Complete the online Membership Application
- At checkout, enter the code freejraff2021
- You can upgrade to Provisional RGD Membership at any time in 2021 by completing the required portfolio interview
