We are seeking a talented and motivated freelance Intermediate Environmental Graphic Designer with a minimum of three years of experience in environmental graphic design. Our ideal candidate will have an excellent eye for detail and understanding of wayfinding methodologies. This is a freelance and remote position.

 

Role:

Intermediate Environmental Graphic Designer

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in environmental graphic design
  • Strong typography, composition, colour and graphic design skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, CADtools, Microsoft Excel
  • Experience developing signage and wayfinding programs, including conceptual drawings, construction documentation, location plans, message schedules
  • Proficiency with ADA and/or AODA
  • Must be a good communicator, attentive and organized
  • Experience developing signage and wayfinding construction documentation
  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings
  • Ability to create scaled drawings
  • Sketchup skills an asset

 

Specific tasks could include:

  • Create and refine message schedules and locations plans
  • Develop elevation drawings and 3D models for signage and wayfinding elements
  • Develop graphic design layouts for environmental graphics
  • Develop construction detail drawings for signage and wayfinding elements
