The RGD unveils branding for 2022 SoGood Awards by RallyRally

The 2022 So(cial) Good Design Awards branding by our Design Partner RallyRally is a celebration of everything good. 

 

"As a design studio dedicated to social change, we think about this every day and commit our work to it, but the idea of celebrating good is especially important now considering the events of the past two years," offers Jay Wall RGD, Creative Director at RallyRally

 

Centred around the mascot "SoGo", the 2022 Awards branding invites people to share their different perspectives on social good. SoGo is on everyone's side, they are either seeking or celebrating good by raising questions in a curious, non-judgmental way. 

 

"There were a lot of ways we could go with the branding, but ultimately we decided to bring a bit of levity and joy to the design concept," explains Jay.

 

The design system also incorporates "So Good" written in multiple languages with a focus on inclusivity and to increase the international reach of the Awards. 

 

Through the SoGood Design Awards, the RGD turns a sharper lens on design’s undeniable power to affect the way people and communities communicate and evolve. The international design competition invites designers to submit projects created under the theme of communication design for social good. 

 

The 2022 Awards will open for submissions on Dec 1 with an entry deadline of Feb 18. Early bird rates apply until Jan 31! Winners will be announced at DesignThinkers 2022 in Vancouver and featured in an exhibit at the Vancouver Library with plans for other exhibits across Canada through 2022.
