Nominations are welcomed from faculty members and students to highlight the breadth and significance of faculty influence at both university and college levels. Nominees should have a proven history of teaching effectiveness. Self-nominations are also accepted.

 

Two winners will be selected; one from Eastern and one from Western Canada. 

"The Design Educator Awards were initiated to acknowledge and celebrate the individuals who devote their time, energy, experience and passion to those entering the design field. I am sure I speak for many designers when I say that my educators have had a huge role to play in my career. And this is something I have often reflected upon. We are excited to be announcing the call for entries for this year's Awards and look forward to highlighting a new group of nominees who are superstars to their students and colleagues," offers Faron Dawe RGD, Vice President and Chair, Education Committee. 

 

Winning educators receive free RGD Membership for 3 years, complimentary tickets to any and all RGD Conferences (including DesignThinkers) for 3 years, an Awards Certificate and recognition across RGD channels (including at DesignThinkers) reaching over 70,000.
