Graphic Designer - Toronto
MJMA is continually developing the integration of its various disciplines – we believe holistic design is necessary to meet the complex needs of modern, diverse communities. We are seeking a Graphic Designer to join our Communications Team and growing 75-person interdisciplinary Toronto studio. Our integrated design studio incorporates Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Design, and Public Engagement – working together to design clear, bold, and inclusive public spaces that strengthen communities and the environment.

Our studio is a collaborative and dynamic environment with a commitment to being a great place to work and to foster professional growth of the individual. We like to have fun and not take ourselves too seriously. We are currently operating in a flexible, hybrid office working model.

What You Will Do:
You will be working closely and collaboratively with studio leadership and the marketing and communications team, to support: brand strategies; editorial-like proposal responses for local, national, and international project pursuits; award submissions; presentations at conferences; website and social media development; and all other in-house creative marketing collateral. In addition to the primary role of supporting the marketing and communications team, you will also work closely with the experiential design team and public engagement group, to support: integrated signage and wayfinding project packages; place-making and visual identity strategies through environmental graphics; brand strategies and guidelines; develop branding for community engagement programs; and strengthen accessibility and inclusivity.

What You Bring:
Ideally, you bring directly relevant experience in:
  • supporting teams with creative vision, print layouts, typography, presentation development, and execution support of final deliverables;
  • manage schedules and deliverables;
  • coordinating with printers or fabricators; and
  • familiarity with the Adobe Suite, including strong InDesign style sheet and page layout organizational skills.

You must demonstrate a passion for design excellence, and be a strong communicator and strategic thinker. You must be willing to engage in the open and collaborative environment of the studio with a generosity of spirit.

Let us know why this position interests you and why you are the ideal candidate by emailing with the subject line “Graphic Designer”. We thank all applicants for their interest. Please note however that only those selected for interview will be contacted.
