Matrix Four is a boutique agency serving a full range of clients locally, throughout Canada and internationally. We work with a diverse range of brands to provide marketing strategy, packaging, print and digital communications. We are a small but agile team with a vast array of knowledge to build brands that succeed - in the market, on shelf and online.
The Role:
As an Intermediate Graphic Designer, you will work alongside our Creative team to develop and execute top notch creative with the end goal to grow a brand, launch a new product or expand consumer reach through social platforms. The ability to see a project from concept, through to completion is expected. You strive to keep in touch with trends and love to explore new design concepts and avenues. This is for a 1-Year contract, with potential for Full-Time Employment.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years in commercial design ~ packaging experience is an asset
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); AfterEffects is an asset
- UX and web design experience is an asset
- Working knowledge of Microsoft programs, including Word and Powerpoint
- Web design and or illustration skills, considered an asset
- Portfolio demonstrating strong design principles, respecting brand guardrails, while employing strategic and creative tactics on project work
- Knowledge in print production, must be competent to build print-ready files and is an expectation
- Ability to interact, present and collaborate with Agency team to develop unique design approaches to a variety of Client needs
- Keen sense of detail, and a desire for the perfect combination of typography, colour and layout
- Excellent communication skills, both within a team and Client facing
- Effective time management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize as needed
- A positive, team forward attitude and a genuine interest in the success of our Clients and the culture of our studio
