I became an RGD member to continue learning and growing professionally, and to give back to the community. One of the best parts of my job is working with and helping other designers. It's a great opportunity to expand the way you think about design.

Watching a presentation by and round table discussion with Massimo Vignelli at a DesignThinkers conference years ago. His enthusiasm, casual brilliance, and dedication to design was inspirational. He had a way of talking about design that made it seem the simplest thing in the world.

I'm a designer because I love creating new visual worlds every day. There are limitless variations to explore and possibilities for expression, and there's always something to learn. And we have the opportunity, and responsibility, to make a positive impact on the lives and experiences of a huge number of people.

In 5 years I hope to continue growing my studio with my partner, and learning new ways to express visual concepts. Photography has quickly become another fascinating applied art to explore, and informs the way I think about other visual communications.
