Speaking at the 2021 RGD In-House Design Conference. It was a really fun talk on creativity, so even though it was on Zoom we laughed through stories and techniques on how you can come up with idea after idea after idea throughout your career.

I design because I need to create. It is a career choice that allows for artistic expression and creative fulfillment, while also catering to technical perfectionism. Creating things to make people laugh, smile, and emotionally connect with is the ultimate goal. Marketing is entertainment, ideas are free flowing, and design brings life.

I create from scratch, so everything is unique. I write and illustrate children's literature, so everything is creative. I have 20 years experience, half of which is leading a design team and building a university brand in-house, so everything is purposeful. We'll do great work, and have fun doing it!
