The Voice of Industry was a newspaper published in the 1840s by a group of textile mill workers in response to increasing oppression by factory owners. Their texts promoted women's rights, anti-slavery ideals, worker's rights, and other progressive ideals. More than 15o years later, they continue to be relevant and necessary. The website was selected for inclusion in the Social Good Design Awards.
