The Ontario Aboriginal Housing Services needed a website refresh. Functionality and accessibility were key focus areas to improve upon. OAHS was also looking to better represent their brand on a digital platform. Once we restructured content, and created a strong visual hierarchy of information, we modernized the design of the site using visual elements derived from their existing brand.

We’re an Indigenously owned, Sudbury-based, independent graphic design firm run by passionate, forward thinking designers. In the 10 years Design de Plume has operated, the team has expanded to 8 team members with clients ranging from local businesses to nation-wide organizations.
Why am I an RGD?
I stand for all the ethical, moral and professional values that RGD promotes. I also believe my designation helps solidify my career while establishing a solid foundation for new designers. I'm appreciative of the events that RGD puts out for both professionals and students.

What is my most memorable RGD moment?
As part of the evaluation committee and as an RGD mentor, I have had the opportunity to help and inspire aspiring and current RGD members.

Seeing my name for the first time as a DesignThinkers Master a few years back was a moment where I felt really proud to be an RGD member and a yearly DT attendee.
Why am I a designer?
As a Principal at Design de Plume I thoroughly enjoy leading my team through the creative process while also providing a safe and positive work environment.
Why should you hire me?
I am a Principal at a women-led, Indigenously-owned design firm focused on inclusive, approachable and accessible design solutions.

Est. May 2009, our team combines a wide array of expertise that comes from our diverse background and experience having worked in several sectors including not-for-profit, government, Indigenous communities and First Nations, retail, finance, and education.
Where do I see myself in 5 years?
As our business keeps expanding I'm looking forward to the work we can accomplish not only Canada-wide but also in the USA.
