Why am I an RGD?I was grand-fathered in long after my design career started. It's taken a while for the RGD to get focused and find their core purpose. The AIGA in the US and The Design Council in the UK were always the standard that I looked to before the RGD was created. There was also the GDC and its history in Canadian design. Being a member gives me the ability to reach out to other like-minded colleagues and to work with younger talent. As with most memberships, you only get out of them what you put in. I haven't been involved much over the past few years but hopefully I can contribute to elevating the organization in some way.
What is my most memorable RGD moment?I find the Design Thinkers Conference, in particular the guest speakers to be insirational. It's also a great forum to see colleagues and catch up.
Why am I a designer?Create powerful and meaningful design expressions that make a difference and stand the test of time.
Why should you hire me?Multidisciplinary experience and expertise in branding, design, marketing and communications.
Where do I see myself in 5 years?Beyond doing what I'm doing now... on a golf course or drinking beer on the patio. Hopefully one that I've created the brand for.
