A faculty and staff brainstorming session resulted in a new tagline for the Faculty of Fine Arts at York University: Seriously Creative. We visually interpreted this message by melding the maze-like structure of the Faculty of Fine Arts buildings with the creative spirit of the individuals that practice within it. We have adapted elements from this campaign for other Fine Arts materials, including the 'FA4U' (Fine Arts for You) smartphone-friendly microsite.

Company description
12thirteen is an ambitious, nimble design studio obsessed with helping not-for-profits, small businesses and the public sector transform our world and our future through effective, inspiring and healthy design.

We thrive on helping good organizations make good things happen - whether that means attracting philanthropic gifts, expanding advocacy or increasing enrolment.
Why am I an RGD?
The reasons I'm an RGD are threefold - to be inspired by stylistic trends; informed of business opportunities; and engaged with social matters. Being an RGD connects me with a broad network of talented people who have gained ground to legitimize the design profession.
What is my most memorable RGD moment?
Being invited to provide background on a project for RGD Word. I don't often get asked about the design process, and it was a great opportunity to reveal some insights. I learned more about my own approach to design problems through that exercise, and have since become more aware of it as I work.
Why am I a designer?
At a young age, my desire to create could not simply be confined to a hobby. During my formal education, my aspirations went beyond artistic self-expression, and into something that was a bit broader. Design afforded me the opportunity to fit my personal passion with a desire for service.
Why should you hire me?
I enjoy working on design projects since it affords me chances to collaborate with a broad spectrum of people. I play very well with others, and love sparking the creative flow in others.
