Company description
As founder and creative director of Greenmelon, I develop creative strategies–with a keen eye to messaging and aesthetics–for clients such as Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Farm Boy Fresh Markets, Ottawa Tourism and Convention Authority, Canada Post Corporation, Canadian Museum of History and the Royal Canadian Mint.
Why am I an RGD?
As a founder of the RGD, it was my honor to be there at the beginning and to participate in the realization of a dream. Witnessing our profession being recognized in the Ontario Legislature to the growth across the country and beyond is truly wonderful. The continued efforts and exhaustive work by our staff and volunteers is proof of an industry driven, not only by creativity, but passion as well. Why am I a member? Because of everyone who calls themselves a member, attends our conferences, webinars and gatherings. The speakers and hosts who inspire me. The teachers who educate the next generation and all of us who continually toil to perfect our skills.
What is my most memorable RGD moment?
I have two. My first would be witnessing the RGD coming into existence at the Ontario Legislature. The second would be the first time I stepped on stage at Design Thinkers to present in front of a crowd. Equal parts terrifying and exhilarating.
Why am I a designer?
After 30 years in the creative industry I can honestly say that I am still inspired, driven and energized. It's not the coffee. It's the many opportunities this career has afforded me. It is truly a privilege and not something that I ever take for granted.
Why should you hire me?
For Designers
Let’s face it, staying motivated isn’t always easy! Whether you work for a corporation, government, agency or on your own, we can all use an inspirational jolt - and I don’t mean coffee! I work with individuals and teams to find their creative spark through workshops, one on one coaching and public speaking.

Where do I see myself in 5 years?
Well, in five years I hope to have more friends, colleagues and mentors to keep me inspired. Certainly more books and the opportunity to continue teaching and practicing what I truly love. I will certainly not be done!
