The Grand Cru Culinary Wine Festival makes it possible for world-leading researchers at Toronto General and Toronto Western hospitals to continue to push the boundaries of science across a wide range of programs. My first thought when developing the materials for the 2017 Grand Cru Culinary Wine Festival was that they needed to feel more celebratory than previous years. I began by developing a larger than life wine "fireworks" icon which encompassed the existing logo for the festival. This helped to refresh the program and breathed new life into the overall design system. The housing folder was printed with a UV spot gloss finish on the wine bottles helping them to pop and gave the overall piece an extra feeling of elegance and sophistication. The 2017 festival was a huge success and raised $3 million.

Company description
I'm a Senior Graphic Designer and Creative Director with 22 years experience working with a range of clients in both corporate and not-for-profit sectors. My professional passion is in branding, strategy, and user experience. I received my professional designation of Registered Graphic Designer in 2007 with RGD.

For every project I work on, my goal is to work with my clients to understand their objectives, perform the necessary research, and develop a strategy to ensure they achieve their goals.

I split my time between Windsor and Toronto but if you're not in either of those cities, don't let that stop you from contacting me. I love to travel and it's really easy to work from clients remotely.
Why am I an RGD?
The RGD designation emphasizes that I provide effective and strategic design solutions for my clients, that I work ethically, and at a professional standard.
What is my most memorable RGD moment?
Being recognized in the Design At Work Juried Exhibit very early in my design career.
