Why am I an RGD?
I'm an RGD member because I believe we are stronger together. I care about inclusion and accessibility. Design for everyone, the right way. I respect all that RGD values and after 15+ years of being in the industry, it's nice to be recognized and accredited for it. I see being certified under RGD as an opportunity to keep growing as a designer and a business, to continue to learn from others, and to give back to the community. What is my most memorable RGD moment?
Going to the DesignThinkers Vancouver conference for the first time this year has been a phenomenal experience. I learned a lot about the industry – where it has been and where we are going. I learned a lot from others' stories and experiences – emphasizing the importance of diversity and inclusion in our work and teams we work with. Why am I a designer?
I think Design is in everything. Good design allows us to breathe, explore, experience and grow freely. Good design makes our lives and others' around us easier. Good design is for everyone. Good design makes a difference. I'm a designer because I love solving problems with design.
Why should you hire me?
You should hire us because we are designers that give a damn. We believe in using our creative powers for social good. I love working with and for others, I find ways to make things work, and I can't do anything halfway – so why not?Where do I see myself in 5 years?
Bursting at the seams of creativity as a collective with collaborators all around North America, making a difference one design at a time. We are looking for more collaborators to create amazing and impactful work together in our communities. Interested? Have a project in mind? Let's talk: mel@artovermatter.com.Contributions to RGD
