In-House Perspectives: Professional Development: Upgrading Skills and Exploring Career Paths

In-house creatives are often expected to wear many hats beyond that of a designer. What skills are valued most and when should we consider training for new ones? How does this change the trajectory of our careers? This webinar looks at professional development through presentations from three in-house designers.

Learning from the best! presented by Meghan D’Mello

One of the struggles of being an in-house designer is that you're likely one of the only people who do what you do in the organization – but that also applies to many of your co-workers too. How can you turn that struggle into a benefit that also helps you learn and grow as a creative?

Meghan is a Toronto-based designer specializing in print design, illustration and motion. While she started her career on the agency side, her passion for international development, education and gender equality helped her land roles as an in-house designer for global charities headquartered in Toronto, including UNICEF & Plan International. For the past 10 years, she has prioritized working with socially conscious businesses, not-for-profits and organizations that advance human rights – using design as a tool to bring about positive change in Canada and communities around the world.
