RGD Designers + Drinks + Discussions - Toronto

RGD invites all designers to Bootleg for an evening of design-related discussions.

From 6:00 to 6:45 p.m., we'll network and chat over food (provided by RGD). At 6:45 p.m., we'll divide into groups for discussions (based on your two selected topics) and then we'll move to new discussion groups from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Discussion Leader: Julian Brown RGD, Motion Designer at On the Chase!

About Julian: Julian is the designer and entrepreneur behind the motion design studio On the Chase! Now 10 years young, OTC! has won awards working with clients ranging from retailer Shoppers Drug Mart and consulting giant Deloitte, to video game maker Ubisoft and charity WWF. In 2018, Julian likely peaked - presenting on the DesignThinkers main stage directly before Michael Bierut.

Discussion Leader: Vincent Galante RGD, Strategy + Design
About Vincent: Vincent is a strategic designer who combines user empathy, big thinking, and technology to solve business problems. Having previously co-founded and scaled The Pixel Shop, a full-service digital agency in Toronto, he now consults for select clients who are open to challenging the status-quo. Vincent holds an MDes from OCAD University and a BFA from York University.

Discussion Leader: Jaimie Hallarn RGD, Interactive Designer at Sephora
About Jaimie: At Sephora Canada, Jaimie partners with the internal team as well as an external agency to develop national brand campaigns in store, digital campaigns, as well as internal communications. Previously she worked at a small boutique creative agency, Fusion Design Group. At Fusion, Jaimie was a Team Lead and directed creative projects for various clients from big corporations to small start-ups. Jaimie holds an Advanced Diploma from Georgian College in Graphic Design, as well as a Degree from George Brown College in Advanced Digital Design.

Discussion Leader: Laura Stein RGD, Creative Director at Sid Lee
About Laura: At Sid Lee, Laura focuses on design in all aspects of creative output, including visual identity. Previously, she was Creative Director at Bruce Mau Design. Her clients have included MaRS, Maple Leaf Foods, Sonos, Asics, and Harvard University. Her work has been featured in Fast Company, Communication Arts, It's Nice That, and Creative Review.

Discussion Leader: Stüssy Tschudin RGD, Founding Principal of Forge Media + Design

About Stüssy: Born and raised in Switzerland, Stüssy originally was a banker by day and graffiti artist by night. He soon realized that his passion for the creative needed to be nourished and decided to go back to school to become a graphic designer. He is a graduate of Humber's Advertising and Design program and a former Senior Design Director at Haughton Brazeau.
