For the past decade, she has been Creative Strategy Team Lead at Bruce Power where they deliver all things design, including a complete rebrand for the company in 2019. Creative Briefs for Non-Creatives presented by Cris Jaw RGD

A common challenge for in-house creative teams is communicating with internal clients from diverse professional backgrounds. Filling out a creative brief can be intimidating for some. Through case studies (and lots of trial and error), Chris explores helpful tactics for finding common ground so you and your team can gain the necessary information required to do your work.
 
About Cris Jaw RGD
Cris is a Toronto-based creative professional that specializes in in-house design development and management. In 2018, in anticipation of Canada’s foray into the brave new world of cannabis legalization, Cris joined the Ontario Cannabis Store to head up the brand and visual design portfolio. She currently leads the OCS content team where they focus on content marketing and education. Prior to joining OCS, Cris served as creative director at the Liquor Control Board of Ontario, where she oversaw a multi-disciplinary team of graphic designers, photographers, and production artists. Under her direction, the team created retail promotional campaigns for in-store and online channels, events graphics, packaging design and editorial publications.

All in-house teams use some system, tool or process to intake creative requests. These processes are often manual and time-consuming. The technology to improve creative intake is out there, but is it right for you? This session explores using Workfront to automate creative requests. What are the opportunities and challenges of automated processes?

About Amanda Parker 

Amanda spent 20 years at IG Wealth Management, first as an in-house designer and design manager, and more recently, as the senior production manager. In the summer of 2020, Amanda moved from Winnipeg to a small town in New Brunswick, with her husband, Brad and their twin daughters, Ava and Brea. With this move, Amanda will be starting up a freelance design business so she can focus on being a creative once again, and she couldn’t be more excited!
