Why am I an RGD?
Nell joined RGD for the community and professional development opportunities. Nell loves to learn new skills and more efficient ways of working.
Why am I a designer?
Nell  grew up in rural Niagara in an artistic family regularly involved in contemporary art, dance and theatre. She became interested in inclusive and accessible design while witnessing the accommodations and lifestyles changes her family members made to adjust to their aging eyesight. After working briefly in the Montreal fashion industry, Nell returned to Toronto to continue her work in inclusive design. Design has a purpose and function. She is passionate about creating work that is easy to read, navigate, and aesthetically pleasing. Nell wants to make a difference in people's lives, no matter how small. Design is the perfect way to achieve that.
Why should you hire me?
Nell has been doing freelance since 2008 and has been an in-house graphic designer at the City of Toronto since 2014. Nell has years experience working with multiple stakeholders on both small and large projects, from simple documents to multi-faceted campaigns across the city.
