I created this website from scratch for a newly launched hair salon named North Bay Laura Hair Salon. It contained five pages: Home Page, About Us, Service, Booking, and Contact US. I improved the interactions through various layouts, styled modules, dynamic motions, customized videos, photos, and descriptions. This responsive design had a unique user interface that was searchable and sortable, making the layouts easy to find. The challenge in this case study was to find the appropriate booking system. I helped the client to experience several 3rd party booking systems and a booking contact form I created, but these options were not accessible to her. Therefore, I turned the phone number into a Click-to-Call link that could place a call right from the browser. This method was the best choice for the user/client's experience. To improve the accessibility, I added the Zoom feature on the phone to help people to read long paragraphs and engage with the content on the website. Why am I a designer?
Because I enjoy being a designer to provide services for a diverse and thriving community. I feel my responsibility is sending messages of good that influence the world around us and designing for social change and environmental and economic development.
Why should you hire me?
With my strong academic background of a master’s degree and Provisional RGD (Register Graphic Designer), I have advanced skills and techniques in graphic and digital media design and a sharp eye for branding and advertising. I closely worked with clients to promote their businesses with aesthetic and practical design works in print, digital media, and photography to deliver eye-catching content. Over the past years, I have been a designer, an instructor, and a lecturer at a university in China to design websites, graphics, and marketing for entrepreneurs in Canada.
Where do I see myself in 5 years?
I want to be a senior graphic designer aiming at brand strategy, print design, web design, and UI/UX design. I will lead projects to completion while applying my creative skills to solve problems and come up with innovative ways to engage clients.

I hope In the future I have a chance to mentor young generations and help them to be qualified graphic designers.
