An invoice is a formal bill for the services you provided your client. An invoice typically includes an invoice number, the date the invoice was created, a list of services or deliverables, the total amount due and a due date. Don’t forget to include the name and address of both your client’s and your company, along with your HST number if you collect HST. You may also consider including a list of payment methods that you accept and any penalties or fees associated with late payments.
When to Use This Form
An invoice may be used anytime you need to collect payment from your client. This can include a deposit before a project begins, upon completion of a milestone during the project or to collect the balance due at the end of the project.
