Zync design for Issue 8 of Wayward Arts explores how business and creative 'Coexist'

To convey this year's Wayward Arts theme of 'Community', Zync created a publication celebrating the coexistence of business and creative. Issue 8 of the magazine illustrates how elements of business such as logic, proof and clearly defined results can operate alongside the imaginative and the unconventional. Through this approach, Zync explores community as the meeting place between these two worlds where people can interact with each other and make decisions about how or why they choose to support a brand.

With almost a decade of experience working with Flash Reproductions, Zync was excited to be invited to express their take on the 'community' theme. 
 
“We saw Wayward Arts as an opportunity to have a voice and share insights into our perspective," says Zync Design Director, Jeremy Linskill RGD. "We focused on two key areas, our design philosophy and our clients’ interests." 
 
Planning page layouts 
 
The publication explores these perspectives through colourful illustrations, dynamic imagery and concise statements, driving home the power of creative thinking, interaction and a strong set of core beliefs in the process of developing a successful brand. 
 
Selecting pages / ideas for publication 
 
In its production, Issue 8 used a high-gloss Spot UV technique to highlight individual elements and help elevate messages throughout the piece, a technique which does not contribute to environmental pollution. 
 
 
Creative planning process
