The Call for Nominations for the 2014-2016 RGD Board of Directors is now open to Registered Members interested in running for election or encouraging fellow RGDs to run by putting forward a nomination.

Only Registered members in good standing are eligible to nominate or to be nominated, and to run for a position on the Board of Directors. Further details on eligibility criteria may be found in RGD’s By-laws.

Nominations must be completed and either emailed, mailed or faxed by Friday, January 24, 2014.
About the Board
The affairs of the Association are managed by a Board of Directors of 9 to 14 RGD members as well as one Student Member and one Provisional RGD Member. RGD Directors serve for two year terms. The Board is responsible for long- and short-range planning, setting policy, monitoring operations, hiring the top staff person and ensuring that adequate governing documents are in place and regularly reviewed.
Directors have a fiduciary responsibility and must exercise the duties of their office honestly and in good faith and with the highest degree of care, diligence and skill. Directors are asked to familiarize themselves with the Act and Bylaws; attend regular meetings, serve on Committees; attend the Annual Meeting; stay informed of the Association’s activities and programs, uphold confidentiality and provide guidance and leadership in support of RGD’s mandate, goals and initiatives.
