Located at either the Kingston, Brockville or Cornwall Campus, the incumbent, working within a broad marketing framework, will implement strategies to help achieve the College’s stated marketing goals. Involvement focuses on: a) initiating and supporting activities, and advising staff in areas of brand strategy and awareness; and b) enhancing the College’s profile through the establishment of strong Go To Market (GTM) strategies aligned to broader college strategies, academic school and departmental priorities; projecting a positive image of the College by developing marketing collateral aligned to established priorities and strategies; including but not limited to print collateral, advertising, radio, video, digital content, productions, publications, reports.
Minimum 3-year Diploma/Degree in Marketing, advertising, public relations or equivalent. A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a marketing or agency environment. Experience planning/developing advertising and promotional materials using a variety of media (digital, print, radio, video). Project management experience and ability to research/analyze complex information, linking market research findings to marketing strategies. Experience meeting tight deadlines and working under pressure to complete multiple tasks. Excellent verbal/written communication skills – must have superior command of the English language and grammar, with demonstrated ability to write clearly and creatively. Proficiency in the use of MicroSoft Office Suite of Products. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to build awareness of SLC through positive publicity and promotion, problem-solving skills, and the ability to develop a media plan and appropriate use of allocated budget to promote a college recruitment activity (e.g. SLC Open House) using innovative approaches and strategies. A collaborative team member, the successful candidate will demonstrate strong relationship building skills, interpersonal skills and consultation skills internally and with stakeholders. Occasional work outside of core business hours and travel to other campuses is a requirement.
Salary and Terms
Payband H / 35 hours per week
Start: $31.06 per hour
Range: $31.06 - $36.06 per hour
