Through RGD's Mentorship Program, professionals contribute to shaping the future of the design community, sharing their knowledge and experiences to help designers grow their professional design career. 

The Structure of the Program
Over a period of 6-9 months, you commit to 6 virtual sessions, approx. 1 hour each, with your Mentee, in addition to ongoing conversations over email. 

Certified RGDs, CGDs, DGAs, Affiliate Members, and Non-Members will be matched with Provisional RGDs and Junior Affiliates (recent graduates with less than eight years of professional experience). Provisional RGDs will be matched with Student RGDs in all years of study.

Designing your Sessions

Once the applications to mentor are received, we share them with the Mentees. Based on their preferences, the Mentees will be matched with their desired Mentors as best as possible. After the pairing has been finalized, you and your Mentee are ready to start the program! The RGD will provide a list of discussion topics for each session, however, it is completely up to you and your Mentee what you'll want to cover in each session.

Required on your application to participate as a mentor, you must provide a brief on what you'd be offering as a mentor, a bio and a photograph.
