Intermediate Digital Graphic Designer - Toronto

Shikatani Lacroix Design is looking for an intermediate digital graphic designer!


The Intermediate Digital Graphic Designer will be a member of the Digital Experience team, working for and accountable to the EVP of Design. This role will design creative assets specifically for digital and interactive use for e-commerce websites, in-store digital signing, interactive kiosks and mobile APPs. The ideal incumbent will have a graphic design background, a passion for digital technologies, and knowledge of the digital media landscape and in-store digital signing platforms. The position requires an individual that also has an understanding of e-commerce marketing concepts, which works well in a team-based, fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.


  • Design and execute compelling assets for websites, APPS, in-store digital signing, landing pages, deck presentations, and various other digital graphic design needs
  • Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics, and layouts for digital marketing efforts
  • Participate in creative meetings and come prepared to discuss challenges and possible solutions
  • Work with Digital Experience team, Senior Graphic and Retail design teams, and Project Management team to meet campaign delivery schedules
  • Monitor developments in the digital industry, keeping up to date on the latest creative trends
  • Build HTML5 content for digital signing

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Behaviours

  • Expert in e-commerce website design, APPs and retail in-store signing
  • Experience in animation, illustration, storyboard development
  • Strong capabilities in UX design
  • Strong in digital file organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work and manage multiple projects independently
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet aggressive deadlines
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of video editing and graphics a plus (Final Cut, Premiere, After Effects)
  • Self-Starter, motivated, ability to work independently
  • Embraces work with a sense of urgency and persistence
  • Takes the initiative, is solution-oriented and follows through on projects/requests until there is a resolution
  • Builds positive working relationships with internal colleagues
  • Professional style of verbal and written communication


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, Media required
  • 3-5 years of Graphic Design experience with an emphasis on digital
  • Expert with Adobe Creative Suite
  • HTML and UX experience
  • Must understand the nuances of digital design and its use in retail environments
