Creative Directions, the RGD’s Career Development Conference
The Association of Registered Graphic Designer's annual Career Development Conference take place the week of May 3.
TORONTO, CANADA, April 15, 2021 — Taking place May 3 to 7, Creative Directions is the Association of Registered Graphic Designers’ annual Career Development Conference designed to provide creatives at all stages of their careers, from students to design managers and business owners, with tools and tips to grow and shape their future in the communications design industry.
Offering in-depth discussions on growing as a designer with your team, selling design services, building good work habits, expanding your professional network, shifting your business in changing markets and keeping up with trends such as SEO, podcasts and UX design, this virtual conference will help attendees become more effective and resourceful designers.
In addition to presentations on May 4 and 5 from senior professionals including keynotes by Aaron Draplin (An Update from The Draplin Design Co.: And Other Fibs, Lies and Perjuries) and Ellen Lupton, Leslie Xia and Kaleena Sales (Extra Bold: Redesigning Power Flows), attendees have the opportunity to network with peers in real-time, join intimate, themed roundtable discussions, and sign up for portfolio reviews on May 3, 6 and 7. The conference also provides access to 26 hours of recorded sessions for 3 months and a digital goodie bag with resources and more.
