As a Creative Director, Kim is a conceptual and strategic thinker, well known for producing effective, innovative campaigns executed with a clean and elegant signature style. Kim graduated with honours from the Design Program at York University and Sheridan College.
What will you be personally looking for from the entrants to identify winning work?
I will be looking for designs that pay attention to detail and have the balance and harmony essential for user experience and consumer appreciation.
Jenny Smith, President & Executive Creative Director, Ray in St. John’s, NF
With 25 years in advertising and marketing, Jenny is Atlantic Canada’s most decorated creative person, winning hundreds of gold and platinum national and international awards. She launched her independent agency in 2013. She has represented Canada at Cannes on the Radio and Audio Jury – twice (2009 & 2018). And she has judged every major award show in Canada (including all regional shows) and was an international judge at LIA, NY Festivals and the Adrian Awards.
What will you be personally looking for?
I will be looking for big ideas that are beautifully-crafted and that get me excited. They must pass my ‘jealousy’ test too.

From owning her own make-shift studio at the age of 15 to her adult 20-year plus career as an art director in advertising agencies including Ogilvy One and Maclaren McCann. She puts a level of passion, creativity and enthusiasm into her work that will either drive you crazy or you’ll love it.
