The RGD's annual Career Development Conference Creative Directions takes place virtually from February 14 to 18.
Featuring streams for students & new grads, emerging professionals and mid to senior professionals, Creative Directions is designed to give graduates and design professionals at all experience levels the tools and tips for a successful career in the communication design industry.
The full-week event, taking place on the virtual platform PheedLoop, features two days of presentations and panels (February 15-16), two days of intimate roundtable discussions (February 14 and 17), a day featuring virtual studio tours and other activities (February 18) as well as virtual one-on-one portfolio reviews taking place throughout the week.
Concurrent sessions run in three streams each focused on addressing the challenges and concerns of designers at various stages in their careers. One stream focuses on the tools for embarking on a career in the design industry for students and recent graduates. Another focuses on designers mid-career who are exploring freelancing and starting their own businesses. And a third stream focuses on senior professionals who may be running design firms, managing employees and growing their businesses.
Attendees have the opportunity to attend two live keynote sessions; choose from twenty-four concurrent sessions; participate in three roundtable/AMA sessions or have up to three portfolio review sessions and receive a digital goodie bag with supplier discounts, special offers and valuable resources. Attendees also have access to session recordings for three months after the event.
